NOONDAY SERVICE TO BE SUSPENDED BY MEL TROTTER Evangelist Tells Congregation Walking Without 'Band' Is Hard, Noonday meeting's held by Mel Trotter, evangelist, at the Park Theater, will be discontinued after Friday and resumed Tuesday, it was announced today. Trotter preached to a capacity audience "Wednesday night. His subject was “They That Wait Upon the Lord Shall Exchange Strength.” “Any one can fly when the flying is good," he said. “When the bands play and the crowds cheer you can •soar like an eagle, but when the hand is stilled and the crowd has melted away, walking often is difficult, and he who can accomplish it without fainting truly is a Christian. "When I emerged from the Pacific Garden Mission, I believ xi 1 could control every' mission in the world. I went from the flying stage to the running stage, and now I am walking, and I am not wear}'." Tonight will bo Evangelical night. Delegations from every Evangelical church in Indianapolis will be present, it was stated. The meetings are under the auspices of the Wheeler City Mission. FILM WILL SHOW TRAFFIC MIMES Police Plan Local Movie in Safety Drive, A moving picture film, showing the correct way to drive and walk in Indianapolis, will be taken soon here as a part of the police campaign to reduce traffic accidents. Traffic CapLain Glenn said today. The picture, to be shown at local theaters and before various civic bodies, will be accompanied by lectures of police officers. Glenn also announced that a "Live and I.et Live” film, taken in Detroit, showing the right and wrong way of traffic course, would be brought to Indianapolis. The picture was taken under direction of the safety department of the Ford Motor Company. Employes nf the Ford motor plant here were shown the new safety regulations now in effect here, at the Strand Theater. E. Washington and Oriental Sts., Wednesday night. Traffiemen Paul and Owens explained the new zone rules. Films were shown depicting various mistakes made by motorists and pedestrians in traffic.

The funeral of Mrs. Dora E. Pierce, 45, wife of Claude C. Pierce, Xo. 7 Alexandra Apts., who died Monday at Palestine, 111., were held this afternoon at the home of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Mooney at Palestine, 111. Mrs. Pierce was born in Illinois and had lived In Indianapolis for about ‘”lix years. She was employed for several years in the office of the. State tax board. Her mother and husband survive. Robinson, and members of the Flanner and Buchanan Undertaking firm, have not received word from relatives of Homer Scott, 21. who was killed almost instantly at. the west power plant of the Merchants Heat and Light Company. 700 block W. Washington St., Wednesday afternoon. Scott, who was a coal ehoveler at the plant, fell between the coal carrier chain and the sprocket wheel and before Elmer Adams, who operates the machine, could stop it lie was killed. Scott came here two weeks ago. it is thought, from either Watterville or Burkesville, Ky., and roomed at 445 N. Minerva St. Telegrams to persons at both places have been unanswered.

COURT VINDICATES DOCTOR, WITH $1 Long Litigation Over Dead Pekinese Ends. When a brown Pekinese dog, valued at S7OO by its owner. Mrs. Josephine Test, R. F. D. K 1, Lawrence Township, wandered away from home one night in August, 1921, little was he aware that he was starting litigation that would see two years elapse before all was settled. Picked up in the road by a friend of Dr. Homer R. McKinstray, 3536 Carrollton Ave.. and given to the doctor because he was known as a friend of dogs, the Pekinese passed out of the picture two days later, when the Humane Society chloroformed him because of a broken back. Mrs. Test swore out two warrants J in police court, charging the doctoi with petit larceny and malicious ties pass because he couldn't find the hat ness the dog wore when he was given to him. The doctor was discharged. Then Dr. McKinstray filed suit for SIO,OOO damages against Mrs. Test foi malicious prosecution. A jury In Su perior Court gave him moral vindica tion, sl, and ordered-Mrs. Test to pay costs, after several hours’ deliberation Wednesday. Camp Equipment Is Stolen Camping season is here.
