BULGIN DESCRIBES BEST WAY TO RUN INFERNAL REGIONS Devil Gets Some Pointers From Evangelist at Tabernacle, Hitting at the evils of the modern ! dance, card parties, frivolities of j life, false standards of living and j vulgar dress,*’ Dr. E. J. Bulgin, evangelist at Cadle Tabernacle, delivered a sermon Monday night on “If I Were the Devil, How Would I Run Hell?” “I would keep on doing a lot of the things you people in Indianapolis are doing now.” he asserted. “First I would enter the arena of dress, I would lure people with dress. Any woman who is vulgar in dress merely advertises the first sin. "Next, I'd get in society and smother the name of Jesus Christ. The emptiest thing in the world is society. It has no Bible, no God—it is nothing. “Stop Right There” “Them I'd be a moral man and slop right there. \ moral man is good in society, but you cannot substitute morality for Christianity. “If I were ahe devil I would lay down a libe -al code. But. folks, liberty is produced only by obeying -those iaws that are made for your welbeing. “I'd institute some pleasure—the dance. Tt is a time killer and a health destroyer. Ninety-five per cent of our fallen women blame the start or their downfall on the dance. “I'd get some of my imps on all the church boards in the country. I’d go out and get a banker or a business man, because people say Christians are old fashioned. T would want to have someone who knows business. “Imps to Write Boohs” “I'd get my imps to write all the schcwtl books. Finally I'd effect a compromise on moral and spiritual question and substitute intellect for salvation.” Bulgin concluded by saying the devil uses all those wiles to blind the eyes of man. The Rev. Percy James, assistant to Dr. Bulgin. arranged special services for school children after school hours today. Bulgin's subject tonight: “The Philosophy of Faith.” FORD iY BUY VIRGINIA RAILROAD Motor King Offers 590,000,000; $110,000,000 Asked, By Unit'd Press DETROIT. Mich.. TRIED MANY; FOUND THE BEST Black-Draught Gives Satisfaction, Says an Indiana Man Who Has Used It in His Family for a Good Many Years. Harding Grove, Ind.—"l can recommend Black-I>raught very highly for the benefit it has been to my own family,” said Mr. Joe Craft of this town. ‘ln all my years of married life, trying many liver medicines, I have never found one that gave the satisfaction that Black-Draught has. “I use it fcr indigestion and when I have colds My wife had severe headaches frem torpid liver, or Indigestion. so we use it for that. -It cleanses the 1 ver and is fine to carry off cold. I use a pinch after meals, except when I have a heavy cold or bitter taste In the mouth and a drowsy, tired feeling, then I take a good heavy dose and soon feel all right. “I have used Black-Draught for a good many years and am satisfied enough to keep it up. I have recommended it to others, and have had them tell me that It was very good and they would keep it as a family medicine.” In flrst-aid home treatment of common colds, Thedford’s Black-Draught has been found very helpful when taken as. an adjuvant medicine to regulate the bowels and help stimulate the liver to drive poisons out of the system. Black-Draught it a purely vegetable ! herb remedy. It contains no calomel or other mineral drugs. It acts on the liver, stomach and bowels, in a simple, natural way and without bad after-effects. Bulgin Bolts BY E. J. BULGIN Evangelist at Cadle Tabernacle The hardest devil to manage is the one who comes as an angel of light. Spiritualism is demonology at work In the wnrld._ The best explanation of the word devil is imperialism of the human Will. / A moral man is a dangerous advertisement for the devil’s business. You can't get into heaven on morality alone. Change the man and he'll find the right environment—You can't change the environment and make a man. A remedy for the dance is a good dose of salvation. At present picture shows are not a pleasure, they are a dissipation.

The girls who take out their powder puffs and begin primping as they cross Washington and Meridian Sts. during rush hours. Eugene Shine is authority. And don’t forget the men who cross the streets while they are reading their newspapers, the sergeant adds.

WHENEVER you play a phonograph record made with the old style surface, those two irrepressible imps, Scratch and Scrape, immediately begin to shout, "Hear me! Hear me!" But, put a Columbia New Process Record on your phonograph and from it surges music of a crystal-clear beauty that will amaze and delight you. It is as if Columbia had caught those boisterous rogues and bound and gagged them. The only method ever discovered which successfully reduces surface noise to a negligible quantity is new process for making records in layers or leaves. The centre leaf is an extremely hard material. Over this are laid the playing surfaces, of a material so marvelously smooth and fine that the needle traveling over it creates but the veriest whisper of a sound. At the first note of music even this disappears. All Columbia Records are now made with this delightfully noiseless surface. They can be played on any phonograph. If yea would know Ik* perfection of phonograph mule, go to * Columbia, Dealer and ask to hear record A-3829 from tha accompanying superfine program. It is "railing,” one of the newest and snappiest foxtrots, played by the Manhattan Dance Orchestra. As you listen you will catch all the subtle orchestration which these masters of dance music have so ably rendered. The actual voice of the singer, the instrument itself, the full harmony of the orchestra, unblurred by obnoxious needle noise, Is the wonderful reality which the Columbia new surface has given to the phonograph. You can secure it only in Columbia New Process Records. The process is patented. No one else can employ anything like it in making records.
