PLAN OFFICIALS 10 ATTENDMEETING Indianapolis to Be Represented at Conference, Lawrence V. Sheridan, executive secretary of the city plan commission, City Engineer John L. Elliott and Edward B. Raub, president of the plan commission, today announced their Intention of attending the national city plan conference to be held at Baltimore. Md., April 30, May 1 and 2. Several other members of the Indianapolis commission are expected to attend. A petition to have the district bounded by Winthrop and Guilford Aves. and Forty-Second and FiftyFourth Sts. changed from a business to a residence section was taken under consideration by the commission Tuesday. The commission approved the location of gasoline filling stations at Twenty-Second St. and Central Ave. and at Washington St. and Irvington Ave. NEW PENNSY CHIEF HERE Taber Hamilton Succeeds Coneys as Superintendent. Taber Hamilton, formerly superin tendent of the Louisville division of the Pennsyvania Railroad, today assumed his duties as superintendent of ithe Indianapolis division to succeed r.r. tv. Coneys, who died last Wednesday. Hamilton started his railroad career In the locomotive shops at Ft. Wayne and has served the Pennsylvania In capacities of increasing responsibility since. He will be succeeded at Louisville by C. E. Brlnser of Harrisburg, Pa. ANNUAL DANCE ON FRIDAY I taper Cnmmandery No. 1 to Give Affair at Murat Temple. The annual formal dance of the drill corps of Raper Commandery No. 1, Knights of Templar, will bo held Friday evening in the Egyptian room of Murat Temple. It will be the first event of the kind in the new addition. Officers of the corps In charge: Edgar N. Groninger, corporation counsel, has announced. Groninger said the city is one of the largest corporations in the State carrying fire insurance.
