COPS WATCHED BY BiBLE CLUB AFTER TALK BY BONNELL Preacher Charges Officers Fail to Curb Profanity. Policemen In Indianapolis "who do not see or hear very well" were being watched by members of the Bible Invest igation Club today, following a talk by the Rev. C. C. Bonnell, pastor of the Garfield Ave. M. E. Church, Wednesday night at the Y. M. C. A. Tile Rev. Mr. Bonnell told of a street car conductor who, he said, used profane language on a crowded car the other day, while two policemen listened. Officials cater largely to public sentiment, Mr. Bonnell declared. Because the minority who do not want the Jaws enforced frequently make the most noise, the officials sometimes listen to them, he stild. "What Would Christ Do With the Question of Law Enforcement?" was the subject. Bonnell said Christ would insist that the laws be enforced and at the same time would teach people to live according to God's law, so that civii laws gradually could he eliminated. The New Testament Is the constitution of the human race, and nations rise or fall as they keep its laws. Bonnell said. He said too few people are willing to be law enforcement officials. ALDERSON FOUND GUILTY Hii Times Sprriul EVANSVILLE. Ind.. March 22 ('haries Alderson, of Henderson, Ivy., was found guilty of murder in the second degree hv a jury in Posey Circuit Court.
