JULIA SANDERSON AND THURSTON HUE AT LOCi THEATERS ‘Tangerine’ Opens 3-Day Engagement at Murat Monday Night, MAGICIAN AT ENGLISH'S ‘Jazz Time Revue’ to Be Burlesque Show at Broadway, JULIA SANDERSON will arrive at the Murat Monday night in the tuneful and pretty musical comedy, “Tangerine.” At the same hour, Thurston, well known magician, will open his seventeenth annual engagement at English’s. Miss Sanderson and her excellent assistants will be at the Murat for only three days, but Thurston will hold out at English’s for the entire week. “The Jazz Time Revue” will be next week’s offering at the Broadway. The Rialto will offer a triple bill, featuring “Three Married Men.” -I- -I- -IMany Song Hits in Sanderson Show Julia Sanderson will open a threeday engagement Monday night at the Murat, with a matinee Wednesday. With Miss Sanderson comes the entire original Casino Theater production and cast Including Prank Crumit, Frank Lalor, Rebekah Cauble, Hobart Cavanaugh, Beulah Person, Harry Puck, Elsie Young. John Kane, Gloria Dawn, as well as the famous Tangerine Quartette and equally famous Tangerine Octette. The song hits of “Tangerine,” which include the internationally popular “Sweet Lady,” "Isle of Tangerine,” “Listen to Me,” “Atta Baby,” “In My Mountain Bower” and ‘She Was Very Dear to Me,” have ail preceded the production to tills city, but the surprise In store for local audiences will come from the many novelties and Innovations contained in the construction of the piece and from the brilliant satire on love, matrimony and alimony, contained in its book. Just as in his previous success, “Irene,” Mr. Carlton found it necessary to make two complete productions of “Tangerine” before he succeeded in attaining the excellence in cast, story and music and effects he Bought. -!- -|- -I--IVlany Modern New Tricks Included on Thurston’s Bill Thurston, a magician, will make his seventeenth annual appearance at English’s next Monday night. The engagement is for one week with the usual Wednesday and Saturday matinees. This season's program consists of his latest and most elaborate Illusions, as well as ancient Egypt’aa, Hindoo and Chinese magic. Two sev-enty-foot baggage cars are required to transport the scenery’, electrical and mechanical effects and a company of thirty skilled assistants, recruited from all parts of the world are carried. Among the new features on this season’s program are “King Tut AnkhAmen’s Magic Columns," an effect done by ancient Egyptian necromances more than 3,500 years ago and “The Famous Hindoo Rope Mystery," which Is being shown by Thurston for the first time outside of India. Magls being the oldest form of entertainment, Thurston has delved Into the lore of ages ago and has succeeded In unearthing many thrillers. Modern magic is represented in his all-new program. Among the new effects created by Thurston him .elf are “Sir Conan Doyle Outdone,” “Fairy Queens From Ireland,” “The Radio Mystery,” “Beautifying by Magic,” “Spiritualistic Materializations,” “The Triple Conundrum,” “A Glimpse of the Hereafter," “The Mysterious Fountain,’ “Mephisto’s Visit and “The Beautiful Witch.”

Notv Jazz Revue Booked at Broadway “The Jazz T!me Revue.” which opens at the Broadway Sunday with a matinee, comes with new scenery', costumes and with faces well known to burlesque followers. Featured In the production are Ben Moore and Nate Busby. Others who add to enliven the entertainment are James Walter, Vi Kelly, ViQla Rohlen, Ethel Bartlett, Jack Staib and a chorus of sixteen. Special feature nights will be be offered as usual on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. -|- -]- Triple Bill Announced at Rialto Next Week. On the triple bill at the Rialto next week will be presented anew musical comedy called "Three Married Men.” a fast, snappy lined farce with many musical and dancing numbers given by a large cast of principals and chorus. The plot Is woven around the mixup in dates of an Irishman and a Hebrew and their admiration for a young woman in the neighborhood by whom they believe their affections are returned. Vaudeville specialties will be introduced during the play. To complete the program, the management has booked for the week the latest feature of John Emerson and Anita Loos. “A Red Hot Romance.” Movie Players -Are Guests Leatrice Joy and Nita Naldl, Paramount players, who are at present engaged in George Medford’s production, “You can't Fool Your Wife,” were guests of honor at the international silk show in New York recently.
