BLAOKHAND GANG SUSPECTS AGE TO FACE CHARGES Extradition Papers Signed by Men and Women Arrested Here. Extradition papers were signed today by the two men and two women arrested here as suspected members of an alleged blackhand murder gang in Charleston, W. Va.. and they were scheduled to start their return in custody of Police Chief Laco Wolf and Detective J. S. Siers of Charleston to face trial. The authorities said they were positive the four are the ones wanted in the investigation of a Maffla charged with twelve diabolical killings and plans for numerous other murders. The officers said they were positive the four are wanted in the investigation of a Maffia charged with twelve killings and plans for other murders. Chief Wolf alleges Sam Muratore. one of the prisoners, was a leader of the gang. He is under indictment In Clarksburg on the charge of murdering James Papara Jan. 20 and three other murder charges are pending against him, Wolf said. Tor.y Tonelle, also known as Romanda, and Mary Norman are scheduled to be tried on murder charges, according to Wolf. Lucille White will be tried on the charge of being an accessory before the fact, he said. White Slavery Charged Objects of the alleged Maffia are said by Wolf to have been revealed by authorities. He said they discovered members of the gang had kept American girls in their custody by threats of death and had sold them into white slavery and collected their earnings, was revealed. Mammoth blackmail plots to take huge sums of money from foreigners are charged. It is alleged the gang planned to lure officers to a house on Kelly Hill on the pretext of capturing a moonshine still and to blow them up. A diabolical plot to murder eight Harrison County citizens, among them a minister, four merchants and the chief of police of Fairmount, W. Va., is alleged. Expect to Solve Mystery With the arrests police expect at least three of a series of seven mys- i tery murders in Harison County i will be cleared up and light shed on ! the other four. Just previous to the series of arrests the chief of police, detectives and the sheriff of Harrison County laid plans for a round-up of the alleged member of the Maffia. Close to a score of men have been arrested, but all, with the exception of nine, have been or soon will be released.
