Alonzo H. Llndley. The measures, which are Identical, were drafted as substitutes for bills previously defeated. Nine members would constitute the State board of education, under provisions of the new bills. The State superintendent of public Instruction an dheads of the three State schools would be ex officio members. Five others would be appointed by the Governor. The bill introduced by Representative J. Glenn Harris providin gfor immediate reorganization, died when the enacting clause was striken out. Another bill by Representative Leveron and Murden was withdrawn. The new' bills are similar to one Senator Lind ley withdrew earlier in the session.

The $7,000 check for on the MeyerKiser Bank and the $2,000 check on a Joliet (111.) bank. Both checks were payable to McCray.
