Bishop Leete to Preach at Church Dedication
The congregation of the Clermont M. E. Church, on the Crawfordsville Rd. at the Hendricks County line, will dedicate their new brick veneer church building on Sunday with an all-day meeting. The old frame church was burned last summer and while the structure avas still burning a subscription was started by the pastor, Rev. T. L. Stovall, and certain of the members, to build anew church. Anew site was secured and on Sept. 1 building was commenced, which has now resulted not only in a modern and commodious church edifice, but a modem parsonage as well. The building enterprise has cost approximately *21,500, and is sufficient to meet the requirements of the congregation for many years. Had a contract been let as Is usual, the cost would have been much more, but by employing a superintendent and assistant and having the building committee assume the responsibility of buying and * sub-contracting and by obtaining much donation work, the cost was greatly redjuced, it is stated. At the dedication services. Bishop F. D. Leete will preach the morning sermon at 10:30 o'clock. At noon the ladies of the church will spread a dinner in the basement, to which all present will be invited. In the afternoon Dr. U. G.
