IE BAT’ FINDS A ROOST AT RAT ALL NEAT WEEK George White's 'Scandals Booked for Limited Stay at English’s. BURLESQUE AT BROADWAY New Musical Comedy Due at Rialto for Seven Days. UnP HE BAT” •Will fly back to the I Murat Monday night for a week’s engagement. This mystery play is again breaking all attendance records, lndica tions are that it will duplicate the capacity business of last season. A. F. Miller announced today that new bookings at English's include George White’s “Scandals” anti Thurston, a magician. The Rialto next week will offer ’ Rutting One Over,” a musical com edy. The Broadway will offer another Mutual burlesque show. “The Bat” Returns To Murat Monday Night In presenting “The Bat” at the Murat for a return engagement of one week only, beginning Monday evening and with maitnees both Wednesday and Saturday. Wagenhals and Kemper are meeting a popular demand. On the last appearance of this play here there were many turned away unable to get any kind of seats for the engagement. The phenomenal business given "The Bat" here iast season was only in keeping with its record in other places. There are hut two spots on the entire American continent where "The Bat” did not set new high records for the busitiess given a dramatic offering. It would not be fair to mention those two spots and label them as theatrically dead, l-ut suffice to say Is that one of them was in Canada. The most mystifying feature of tne tremendous popularity of “The Bat;” at least mystifying to the theatrical world, has been the phenomenal success attendant upon its repeat engagement. Bast season, on return en-, gagements in a few places, and ill this season, with ail return engagements, the business has remained tre mendous. This indicates but one thing—it is the best mystery play of aii times. For no other mystery play has stood this t ost. In the company coming here will be found such sterling players as Xorma Phillips, Charles Gotthold. Robert Gleckler, Julia Stuart, Herman Lieb, Robert Stevens, Ursula Ellsworth. Robert Barrat, Courtney White and Arthur J. O’Keefe. -I- I- -1White’s “Scandals” Booked for Showing at English'The latest edition —11*22—of George White’s “Scandals' is *o be shown at English's the w*-ek of Feb If*. Paul Whiteman's celebrated Case be Paris New York orchestra is one of the features of the entertainment. Among the 150 players appearing in the cast will be noted W. C.
