Broken Engagement Better Than Life of Unhappiness
WE all make mistakes —even Cupid. It is hard to tell a woman to whom you are engaged that you no longer love her. Still, usually it is better than to marry her and then probably make both of you unhappy. Tt is rather an “I-am-doing-tliis-for-your-sake ’ ’ proposition—similar to the father's attitude when he spanks his offspring. The considerate man always lets the women break the engagement. He can show her he no longer cares for her, or do something which would make her stop loving him. Unpleasant as it is, it always is test to correct a mistake in love before marriage. Now Loves Another Pear Miss Lee: lam a man of 23. lam engaged to a young woman who loves me dearly and whom I thought I loved. But upon leaving for college, I discovered I did r.ot care for her as I should. There is another young woman with whom I became acquainted at school and whom I am sure I love. Is It my duty to marry the girl back home and be miserable for the rest of my life, or should I be truthful to her and marrv the other girl? FREDDIE. If you are sure you no longer love your fiancee you had better have the engagement broken. As she apparently still loves you, and so is the one who 'rill suffer more, it would be kinder to let her break the engage ment, if possible. Another Heart Broken Dear Miss bee: lam a girl of 19 and I am tn love with a man of HI. We five In the aatna boarding house. Martha Lee's Advice
disposition. He is not quite my idea of an Ideal lover. Seriously, don’t you think he is very presumptious to order you not to go with other men and at the same time to take another woman out? I should not think he would make a good husband. Although I think it best to “stick it out” rather than to run away, as a rule, if you think leaving the house would help you, it would be best to move. Get away where you will meet other men, especially those nearer your own ago. After you have met many of them, I think you will come to the conclusion that this man is not worth a broken heart. Turns Cold Shoulder Dear Miss Lee: T have been married, but separated for almost three years. I have been going with a man about my own age. 117. He also has been married and separated from his wife. When we first met ho seemed to think the world of .ine and would buy me candy and different little things. About two months ago he quit coming down. When I would go to my friend's house, where he stays, he always would go out es the room I have hear he is gouig with another woman. But I hear he still can* for me. Please give me a Uttle advice. UNHAPPY. You are a married woman,, even though separated from your husband, and so have no business running around with other men. BOBBY: Tt Is not at all necessary for you to replace the lost present. In fact, It was not necessary for you to get the boy a present in the first place. You have explained the situ atlon to him; that la enough. WAITING: Os course, you want the boy to know that you did not do what he was told you did. Then write hJrr. a note telling him that. Tell him you feel he has failed you as a friend, because he believed gossip about you without giving you a chance to make a denial. Then don’t think any more about

Syrup Pepsin Helps • Nature Give Relief
Try il when • Laxative it needed and aee the wonderful result* IT is not necessary to take a violent physic for so simple an ailment as constipation. Yet many thoughtless parents give mercury in the form of calomel, and coal-tar in the

You can take Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin yourself or give it to a babe in arms, as thousands of mothers do every day, with the confidence that it is the safest and best medicine you can use for. constipation and such complaints. A teaspoonful will relieve you bver night even if the constipation has been chronic for
