The Question as to whether thè war meinorial piaza Project will <ro for ward Immediatelv or will be delayed further probably will have to be solved by thè Legislature when it con venes next month. it was indicated to day. A part of thè site nf thè proposed piaza is now occupied by thè State School for thè blind. No provision has ever been made for movine this institution. Oovemor McOray has written a letter to Marcus Sonntag of Evansville. chairman of thè war memorisi conimission. asking his opinion oti what step should be taken by thè Legislature. The Legislature, it is expected. may provide for thè appcintment of a com mission to have charge of thè removai of thè school, similar to thè commisslon in charge of thè removai of thè State reformatory. Some otTorts may be made to move thè school from Indianapolis. It will be necess.ity to purchase a sito uri to builil an entirely new plant. The Lpresent school is one of thè oldes.. Pgtate institution buildings in thè State. Architects throughout thè country have been asked to compete for a prize of SIOO,OOO for thè best design for thè war meinorial building.
