A man attacked a woman and a little girl and fo'.lowed another woman last night, but escaped before thè poliee arrived, according to re porta to police today. He made no attempt to rob thè wemen or thè girl. Hazel Peppei, 10, colored, 2406 Hovey St., was etruck on thè head with an iron bolt and knocked down as she was Crossing railroad tracks noar her horce. The assailant ran. Lavenia Taylor, 24, colored, 1512 Martindale Ave., was slugged by a man whose description is thè sanie as that of thè assailant of thè Pepper girl. Miss Taylor was sta gare red by thè first blow and knocked down by a second blow. The attack occurred on Sixteenth St., near Martindale Ave. Her injuries were dressed by a physlcian.
