Shots peppered on walls and pavéménta as thè fight was waged within two blocks of police headquarters. Two crowded Street cars were caught between thè barrage of bullets. Motormen put on full power and miraculously got their cars out of thè danger zone. The fighting carne on thè heels of a wave of crime and robbery that swept thè city late yesterday and early last night. W r ood, 78, former president of Valparaiso University, and later Methodist missionary, has been received from Tacoma, Wash. Rev. W'ood established thè first Christian missions in Perù, Paraguay and Ecuador. PEOPLE OVER FORTY People aged forty or over are less able to resist thè attacks of colds, grippe, influenza or pneumonia than young people. Their vital force lacks thè powerful resistance of youth. Constipated bowels, sour stomach, indigestion, biliousness and weak kidneys all tend to lower thè physical resistance. Millions of people now use Bulgarian Herb Tea to keep thè bowels open and improve thè blood. Bulgarian Herb Tea taken steaming hot will help break up a cold quickly. Physicians and druggists everywhere recommend it. Advertisement
