About SBO,OOO already has been pledged by Kiwanis clubs of thè State to thè building fund of thè James Whltcomb Riley Hospital for Children, now under construction here, John N. Bromert, Governor of thè Indiana Kiwanis district, announced today. The clubs will raise a total of $150,000 for thè erection of one of thè ward buildings of thè hospital to be known as thè Indiana District Ki wanis building. The total pledged thè fur.d to date. Bromert said, represents thè glfts of members of thè Indianapolis, Marion, Noblesville, Wabash, Plymouth, Warsaw, Princeton, Columbus, Huntington, Hammond, Terre Haute, South Bend, Elkhart, North Manchester, Richmond, Muncie, Xewcastle, Bloomington and Vincennes clubs. Almus G. Ruddell, Marion County chairman, has announced thè active campaign In Indianapolis and Marion County will be made thè first week in May, to complete thè raising of thè county’s quota. In adilition to Ruddell, members of thè Marion County commijttee are Arthur R. Baxter, P. C. Reilly, A. M. Roseiithal and Mrs. Joseph B. Kealing. ‘ROUGH STUFF’ STOPPED “Treat ’em roughl” was thè motto of a poolroom at 502 E. Washington St., vìsited by Sam Trippe of 608 E. Georgia St. yesterday, according to police. Trippe told thè police thè two proprletors ordered him out and enforced thè order by hltting him several times and then throwing him out. As a result, thè proprletors, Steve Evanoff and Joe Sarbnoff, were arrested on charges of assault and bar tery.
