CLIFEOEMTION PRESENTII BIELS Censorship Board and Saving Sand Dunes Advocated. The Indiana Federation of Club 3 presented two bills for thè considerraion of thè Legislative Council of Women at its opening meeting yesterday at thè CiaypooL One favors thè appointment of a State board of censorship and thè other approves thè conservation of thè dur.es as a State park. No definite action was taken at this meeting, but thè following persons made suggestions: Mrs. li C. Rumpler, that some of thè patriotic organizations investigate thè vice conditions supposed to exist in The vicinlty of thè soldiere* hospital at Marion; Miss Laurei Thayer, that some action be taken to provide an adult probation officer for IndianaThè State Nurses’ Association asked if any action were taken in legislature to lower thè nursing standard, that thè council assist them in maintalning thè present standard and that they support a bill compellìng thè county commissionerà to appoint a county nurse. The next meeting of thè council will be held Dee. 7. Pa., of fourteen moron wards of thè Ohio Welfare Department which was climaxed yesterday when welfare officiala of both States made a night raid on thè mining camp and returned thè wards to Columbus, is closed so far as this State is concerned, Welfare Director MacYeal declared today. MacYeal said he firmly believes thè feeble-minded youths were induced to leave an Ohio institution by thè company operating in Turtle Creek and that they were foreed to work as Virtual slaves for severa! months. “There is little chance that we could convict thè guilty persons, however,” he said, “because of thè difficulty in proving thè boys were actually induced to escape.
