MURDER EFFORT CHIRGEDBYWIFE Mrs. Frederick L. Sims Says Husband Attempted to Strangle Her.. ILL HEALTH IS BLAMED Defendant Was Formerly Principal of South Bend High School. By Times Special SOUTH BEND. Ind., Nov. 24. — Frederick L. Sims, formerly Principal of thè South Bend high school, is made defendant in a divorce suit filed by liis wife at Los Angeles f Cai., in ■which Mrs. Sims charges that her husbanl attempted to klll her by strangling her whlle out automobile riding. The alleged attempt ot murder is ascribed to a breakdown in thè health of thè former educator when he was deranged mentallr-, They have two daughters and were well known in South Bend, La Porte and Elkhart society.
