Tiernan from thè faculty of thè Notre Dame University law schooi. The notoriety attached to thè recent eult of Mrs. Tiernan against Harry Poulln, haberdasher. who she charged was thè father of her thlrd child, had no influence on thè presentation or thè acceptance of thè resignation, it was declared. Tiernan will practice law in New York, he announced, followlng his conclusion of hearings on erose-bill for divorce which both he and hls wlfe have filed. Each charges thè other wlth cruel and inhuman treatment. Tiernan will lnsist In retainlng thè custody of thè twp oldest children, while baby Billy. who both say le thè son of Poulln, will probably be kept by Mrs. Tiernan. Mrs. Tiernan will move to Chicago. Morgan ls a brother of thè president of thè company and is employed as a generai mechanic. Harris worked at thè plant as a lafcorer. When thè men carne to work today they quarreled. Morgan waa cut on thè face, on thè left hand and had a severe wound aerosa thè back. Harris probably let thè knife slip and was cut on thè right hand.
