That is thè way thè contrastine humor and Ignei ance of thè English and Americana toward each other is presented in "So Tfcls Is London.” a comedy by Arthur Goodrich, produced by George M. Colia n. Cohan apparently has taken an ordinary comedy and by Jazzing and •yankee Doodle-ing” thè situatlons has tumed out a comedy lich In laughs and reai humor. “So This Is London” is thè leading non-musical attraction on Broadway. The special company, making its first appearance last night at Engllsh’s, was organized for thè Chicago engagement. The public likes this 1-reezy affair. Oh! The English So This Is London” is a contrastng study of what Americans think of thè English and what thè English think thè Americans are. There is a big bump of ignorance and false prìde on both sides. What each thinks of thè other la presented in a modern "flashback” or insert. These scenes are bright comedy gems. Exaggerated of course because thè ideas are not normal. One can see thè Cohan touch during thè entire play. The laughs are 'learly evenly distributed in thè three c.cts and that. is an event. I will guarantee you many hundred pound laughs if you see this show.
