WRECKED THICK CETS EIGHTH REPAJRJERVICE Standardized Parts and Methods Remake Job in Short Time at Low Cost. Making over a badly wrecked delivery truck in only two hours and fifteen minutes, recently avoided many days of expected service loss and saved SIOO In expense for the Fame Laundry Company of Indianapolis. This lightning reconstruction was made possible by the standardized stock parts and economical methods of the Martin-Parry Corporation of Indianapolis, largest commercial body builders in the world, who built the laundry's delivery fleet. The truck had been sideswiped and overtunmd in a ditch while on its deli very rounds. When the wreck was righted and pulled out of the ditch the laundry manager believed nn entire new body would be necessary. He despaired of getting the truck back into service in less than two or three weeks. Wreck Complete Its vestibule was entirely demolished, top crushed, trimmings torn off. fenders smashed and it was thought the elaborate panel decorations, seal and and monograms would have to be painted new on another body. Anew body and this expensive painting, to maintain the laundry’s pride in the attractive appearance of its delivery fleet, was expected to cost at least $l5O and keep the truck out of service for many days. The wreck was taken to the MartinFarry factory, with instructions to lush the job, as the truck was bodly reeded. Just two hours and fifteen minutes, later, the laundry manager got one of the shocks of his life, when told that the wreck had been completely repaired and was again ready for service. Every Part on Hand Every part and piece of construction to make the wrecked truck new I was on hand at the Martin-Parry | factory, where standardization in- 1 sures efficiency and speed with satisfaction at low cost. Skilled workers managed to save the painted panels of the wrecked car and refitted all the necessary new parts from legular stock in record time, at a total expense of only SSO. For years the laundry had been a well satisfied user of Ford cars with Martin-Parry bodies, but this extraordinary experience now makes the owner proud and enthusiastic over its delivery equipment.

MOON SALES HIT HIGHEST MARK September Record Greater Than Any Five Months Last Year. The Moon Motor Car Company of 1 St Louis has closed the most success ful September In the company’s his i tory.. More cars were sold in this 1 one month than were sold in the last j five months of 1921. The production schedule for October calls for 1,025 cars and unless . there is a hold-up on material de- j liveries this schedule will be com J pleted. This remarkable business, in a measure, can he attributed, accord i ing to Stewart McDonald, president of the Moon Motor Car Company, to | the unusually heavy demand for closed oars. Production at the present time is divided equally between closed cars j and open cars, but were it possible ! to secure deliveries on closed car materials. production would be 75 per cent closed cars and 25 per cent open cars. There is no question but that the closed car is the ideal all-year round car. An owner receives 100 per cent i returns on his investment because he can run his car twelve months of the | year There is no putting away r closed oar on account of inclemen weather, and from the standpoint o. economy the purchaser receives mot dollar for dollar value from the close type than he does from the open type
