By United Prenn DES MOINES, Oct. 3.—Austin Haines, editor of the Des Moines News, sentenced to one day in jail and fined one dollar for contempt of court by District Judge Hume, has obtained a writ of certiorari from Supreme Court Justice Stevens. The hearing will be held in Supreme Court during the January term. Haines’ appeal bond was fixed at |SOO.
