Hering of this city, a nation-wide i campaign will be launched at once to secure the passage of old age pension j laws In every industrial state. Mr. Hering has just returned from j the national convention of Eagles at ; St. Paul. The Eagles at their convention set j aside a million dollars, the interest of which is to be used for education on old ege pensions, and South Bend was selected its headquarters of the national movement. Two results will he derived from adoption of the old age pension system, Mr. Hering stated, first to decrease unrest in industry, and. second, to provide education for children with money saved by parents for their old age.
