July 28.—The hearing on {BS temporary alirtjony suit brought by Mrs. Fannie Manly Hawkins, former hells of Georgia society and a daughter of W. D. Manly, millionaire banker and maufacturer, against Morton S. Hawkins, Portland. Ind.. business man, begun unexpectedly in Superior Court here. Mrs. Hawkins, who claims her husband is “a millionaire,” and who is asking no specific amount of alimony, but “an amount relative to his income,” declared that one of the reasons she left her home was because "he picked his teeth in public;" Hawkins charged that his 17-year-old wife was on several “wild parties with other men” while they were on their honeymoon in the Bahama Islands. By United Prett DALLAS, Texas, July 28.—Corn whisky was believed to have caused the downfall of Beverly Woods, believed wanted in Indiana for breaking his parole from the Michigan City prison. Arrested by police here on a drunk and disorderly charge, Woods unln- j tentionally gave his correct name and was quickly recognized.
