By KORA KAY Every auction fan except Mayor Shank seemed to be on hand when this year’s collection of unclaimed goods went o nthe block at police headquarters Tuesday afternoon. At least talf the small boys in town were there, most of the city’s junk dealers and a sprinkling of feminine bargain hunters. The women, however, were too much afraid of taking chances to risk a bid on any of the unopened packages and suit cases. But it was also a man who bought, sight unseen for $1.75 a dozen high priced purses for women. Bicycles were there of every description from the latest models to one so antique that the auctioneer declared it must have belonged to the last city administration. There were bicycles without handle bars, others minus pedals and one with a tire but no wheel to wear it on.
