TO CODIFY MINE LAWS OF STATE Governor Names Four Men to Serve on Commission as Authorized. A commission to codify mining Ib"ws and recommend new legislation has been named by Governor McCray under authority given by the Inst sessile of the Legislature. Four men comprise the commission, two representing the coal operators and two the practical coal min era. They are John Hessler of Terre Haute, president of District No. 11, T'nited MtDe Workers of America, and William Mitchell of Terre Haute, for the mines, and John A. Templeton and Henry Adamson, both of Terre Haute, the operators. * The general mining law of the State was enacted in 1905 before introduction of many of the present methods of the coal mining Industry and Governor McCray says that the work to be done is of highest Importance. Funeral for Employe of City Postoffice Funeral services for Miss Lizzie Jenp, for twenty-five years an employe of the Indianapolis postofflee. who died at ter home, 2309 North Delaware street yesterday, will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Church. Miss Jenp was the daughter of J. B. Jeup, for many years editor of the German Telegraph. She is by a sister, Mathilda Jeup. with whom she lived, and a brother, B. J. T. Jeup of Indianapolis.
