MIRROR LAW VIOLATED BY ‘ROAD HOGS’ Bulletin to Peace Officers by Automobile Association Asks Enforcement. Despite the fact that a State law re- ( quires rear-view mirrors on motor trucks and on all commercial care, so adjusted as to giro a view of the rear to the driver, it has been reported to the Hoosier State Automobile Association that trucks have no mirrors. The attention of constables and other peace officers is being directed to the violation of this law all over Indiana, according to a bulletin just issued by the association. There :s a penalty for the j dealer who sells a truck not equipped with a rear-view mirror. It is pointed out in the automobile association's statement that during the winter and early spring it was a difficult matter for a heavily loaded truck to "lay over" and let a passenger car get past. But now, it is contended, the roadways are getting in such shape that "laying over” may be done with safety. — FOREIGN TRADE TO BE SUBJECT National Credit Men to Hear Speakers at Convention. The young Missouri politician was one of President Wilson's first appointments in the second Administration, having been named as third assistant Secretary of State In 1917. It was the intention of the National Furniture Cos. to conduct this 1 22nd ANNIVERSARY SALE for two weeks only.
