How to Make Grape Jelly From Bottled Grape Juice Inexpensive and Takes Only Ten Minutes By Ann Proctor
Ton can make the finest grape Jelly you ever tasted In ten minutes from bottled grape Juice at a cost of only 7 or 8 cents for a big six-ounce glass. This Jelly Is much better flavored than that made by the old method requiring unripe grapes, because grape Juice Is pressed from ripe, full-flavored grapes. This Is the way to make It: Measure out 4 cups (1 qt. bottle) of grape juice and 7)4 level cups (3)4 lbs.) of sugar into large sauce pan, stir and bring to bolL Add at once 1 bottle (scant cup) of CERTO, stirring constantly and bring to hard boU for one minute. Remove from fire, skim and pour Into glasses at once. This makes 15 six-ounce glasses of the very finest grape Jelly for only 7 or 8 cents a glass and it's so easy even a child can do it. CERTO is pure concentrated fruit pectin (Mother Nature’s Jell Maker) the use of which Is so highly Indorsed by government authorities and cooking experts and is obtainable from most any grocer or druggist. Accompanying each bottle of CERTO Is a book giving nearly a hundred recipes for making all kinds of Jama, Jellies and marmalades by the famous CERTO Process, which takes only 1 minute boiling and never fails. For extra free copies of the CERTO Book of Recipes write Pectin Sales Company, Inc., Dept. 182, Rochester, N. X. Important: Be enr* to make yonr Strawberry, Raepberry, Blackberry and Cherry Jam and Currant Jelly this year with CERTO. Costs leas, looks and tastes better, and never falls. If your grocer or druggist does not have CERTO, please call Miss Klein, Main 4900 to learn where to obtain it.—Advertisement.

Advocates Bible Be Edited Along ‘Newspaper Lines * CHICAGO, March 3L—Modern clvlMsatoln needs & new Bible edited along ‘•newspaper lines," Dr. J. M. Vance of Wooster College, Wooster, Ohio, declared before the national convention of the Religious Education Association here. The new book, according to Dr. Vance, should carry headlines, subheads, editorials and news bulletins. It shoul'i contain the same old and new testaments, he said, but should be "put np In a style to meet the needs of the twentieth century." "Biblical literature should be stressed. Young America Is totally ignorant of the Good Book as It Is now written. Something should be done to acquaint them with Its great truths.”

Mr. Beveridge said the duty and responsibility of the Senate, when passing upon a treaty, is far weightier and graver than the dnty and responsibility of the President, for the President or the Secretary of State, acting as hla agent, can merely negotiate a treaty, while the power and responsibility of making effective and putting It Into force falls upon the Senate alone. TREATIES CANNOT BE REPEALED. Fow persona realise the fact that a treaty once ratified cannot be repealed as simply as Is the case with a law. It cannot be changed without the consent of both parties to the treaty, the speaker said.
