P.M. RAILROAD RULED OUT OF WAGE HEARING Labor Board Charges Company Didn’t Hold Proper Conferences. CHICAGO, March 22.—The Pere Marqnette Railroad today was ruled cu. of the wage hearing being heard by the United States Railway Labor Board. The road, according to the board’s decision, did not hold proper conferences with its men on the subject of wages. Employes of the Pere Marquette presented evidence showing that President Frank A. Alford refused to permit a stenographer to be present to make a record of the conference, grabbed the stenographers’ notes and tore them up. The board ordered the wage question back for negotia’ ins between the road and employes.
