WOMAN’S CLUB WANTS TAGGART The Seventh District Women’s Club rent on record at a meeting at the Indiana Democratic Club yesterday, as hvoring Thomas Taggart for the Demojratie candidate for the United States Senate. The names of Mr. Taggart and Samuel M. Ralston were put before the llub and the vote for Mr. Taggart was tnanlmous. It was explained that there ras no hostility toward Mr. Ralston, >ut that the club believed Mr. Taggart deserved the Indorsement as a metter >f gratitude. The club Indorsed Albert Stump for :he Democratic nomination for Congressnan from Indianapolis. The name of Walter Myers was also considered in connection with the Congressional race. The action of the woman’s clnb is a part of the Taggart boom which has seen gaining some headway during the last few days. It is considered doubtful, however, if Mr. Taggart will content to make the race and Mr. Ralston is tonsidered much more likely to become :he candidate. Friends of Mr. Taggart ire willing to give their support to Mr. Ralston if Mr. Taggart refuses to become i candidate.
