NEW TO RETURN TO WASHINGTON Senator Speaks at South Bend and Notre Dame. Senator Harry S. New, Republican candidate for renomlnatlon at the May primaries, went to South Bend, today, where he addressed a meeting of students and faculty members at the University of Notre Dame at noon. The Senator was, accompanied by Mrs. New and Miss Eleanor Barker, State organizer of women. The Senator will address a Joint meeting of men and women Toters in South Bend tonight before leaving for Washingon Saturday morning. Before leaving the Senator said that he was satisfied with the progress of the campaign throughout the State and expressed confidence that he would be renominated. He said that he was not sure when he would return to Indianapolis, but that he will not return soon if it should mean that he would have to neglect his duties there. The Senator said that he wished to be present in Washington by all means to attend meetings of the committee on territories and insular possessions, of which he is chairman, and the committee on for ign relations, of which he is a member. Dne to the fact that he felt that his duties In Washington should receive his attention the Senator declined a number of invitations to speak in various parts of the State next week, in behalf of his campaign for renomination. Drovers Bank Stock Passes to New Owners CHICAGO, Feb. 10.—Stock in the Drovers National and the Drovers Trust and Savings Bank, formerly held by the Tilden estate has been purchased by members of the Swift family and by the Foreman Brothers banking house. This is the first time Foreman Brothers has been Identified with banking house interests. The amount Involved in the transaction was not disclosed, but It is known a ‘•substhantlal - ’ interest has been purchased.
