MANILA, Jan. 20.— Acknowledging that Governor General Harrison spent $150,000 from big private fortune In his eight years of governing the Philippines, ana conceding that the Governor Is underpaid, the Senate nevertheless unanimously approved the Quezon Joint resolution opposing Senator New’s bill Increasing Insular salaries, because the Legislature was not consulted. The commissioners were then Instructed to oppose the bill at Washington on the same grounds. Quezon however Is willing to vote additional salaries here. WASHINGTON, Jan. 20.—N0 Immediate action on the bill to raise salaries of Federal officials in the Philippines Is contemplated by Congress, It was stated at the office of Senator New of Indiana, sponsor of the measure, Mr. New left today for Indiana. PARK BOARD IN CONFERENCE May Add 31 Acres to Rhodius Park Property. The matter of rescinding the contract of J. Clyde Hoffman as attorney for the board of park commissioners and hiring Clifford C. Kealing in his place was not discussed by the board of park commissioners at their regular meeting Thursday afternoon although it had been reported that certain persons were working for Hoffman’s dismissal. It is understood that at least two of the park commissioners desire to retain Hoffman, even though he was an employee of the Jewett administration, because of his knowledge of things done by the previous board. The board promised a delegation from the Enterprise Civic League that it would give consideration to the purchase of thirty-one acres to the north of Uhodlus park as an addition to the park. It was said by spokesmen for the league that the property can be bought of the Bridges Realty Company for about $60,000. The board also promised to consider requests of the delegation that a swimming pool and community house be built in the park. Cement sidewalks were ordered constructed along the north side of Ellenberger park. Re-appointment of A. B.

undernourished and emaciated and you wish to put on good, firm flesh, round-out face and figure and increase your strength and energy, you can take our Genuine
Yeast Vitaminc Tablets with every reasonable assurance of helpful results provided your blood contains a sufficient quantity of oxygenated organic iron to enable your system to assimilate your food prop-
erly. Without organic iron both food and Vitamines are absolutely useless, as your body cannot change inert, lifeless food matter into living cells, muscle, bone.
and tissue unless you have plenty of organic iron in your blood. Organic iron takes up oxygen from your lungs. This oxygenated organic iron unite; with your digested food as it is absorbed into your blood like fire unites with coni or wood and by so doing it creates tremendous power and energy. Without organic iron m your blood your food merely passes through your body without doing you any good. Blood examinations made by physicians all over the country have shown that an enormous number of people are deficient in hemoglobin or iron content in the blood stream and this is often the real underlying cause of a thin, emaciated, weak and run-down condition, and it is for this reason that thousands of people may take Vitamines without obtaining results. It is not the fault of the Vitamines. but it is the fault of your blood. It appears, therefore, that in practically every case where Vitamines are necessary, organic iron is also necessary. For centuries scientists tried in vain to produce organic iron. At last the problem was solved, so that you may now obtain pure organic iron from any druggist under the name of “Nuxated Iron” which is ready for immediate absorption and assimilation by the blood the moment it enters the system. DO NOT TAKE VITAMINES UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR WEIGHT INCREASED up to what a person should normally weigh. We do not claim, however, that Vitamines will put flesh on everybody. Some people are naturally too thin and will probably remain so in spite of Vitamines aud j everything else.
