NEW, WATSON TO ADDRESS EDITORS Republican State Association to Meet Here Jan. 27. Senators Harry S. New and James E. Watson will speak at the annual midwinter dinner of the Republican State Editorial Association in the Riley Room of the Claypool Hotel Jan. 27. The dinner will conclude a two-day meeting of the association. Members of the committee on arrangements for the meeting are Frederick E. Schortemeier, secretary of the Republican State commitree; E J. Hancock of Greensburg, president of the association; W. O. Feudner of Ru-hville, George A. Elliott of Newcastle, and J. W. I’ieree of Clinton. The Democrats are planning for a Jackson day dinner to be held In the Riley Room Jan. 9. All the speakers will be women. They are Mrs. Samuel M. Ralston and Mrs. Grace Julian Clarke of Indianapolis. Mrs. Harry McMullin of Aurora, and Mrs. Lew G. Ellingham of Ft. Wayne. Mrs. Alice Foster McCulloch of Ft. Wayne, State chairman, will p*eside. Firemen Rescue Baby From Bath DENVER. Colo., Dec. 30.—1 t required the fire department to remove Evelyn Brewster, 3, from a bath last night. The mother left the baby Li the tub, while she went in another room. The door blew shut, locking with a catch on the inside. FALLS DOWN STAIRWAY. Fred McNlmey, 27, 301 West Vermont street, was injured last night when he fell down a stairway at Tomlinson Hall. He was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in an ambulance. His Injuries are not serious. Niblack, commander in chief of American naval forces in European waters, as expressed in his Interview from Rome, attracted wide attention in Washington. Admiral Niblack and his fine flagship, the U, S. Ltah, is carrying our flag far and wide through European waters. There seems a danger the Ltah will be brought home and our European station broken up after the arms conference. One of the partic ularly effective services rendered by Niblack and his ship was the courtesy shown to Crown Prin'-e Hirohito, of Japan, at Gibraltar, last spring.
