The robber escaped after an exchange of shots with Amos and the watchman's ■on, who was on duty with him. A heavy caliber bullet lodged under Amos’ left collar bone, but his chances of recovery were believed good. Police throughout the State were notified to watch for John Pullen. 20, wanted In connection with the shooting. A coat identified as Pullen's, who Is said to be out on parole from the Jeffersonville Reformatory, where he was sent in 1016. was left behind by the robber. The water works company's office, adjoining the Rapp store, also was robbed. Following the shooting of a policeman by a burglar at Kokomo, the Indianapolis police today were asked to search for John Pullen, ex-convlct, who, the Kokomo police allege, fired the shot. Bergeant Benson of Kokomo telephoned the Indianapolis department that Pullen Is believed to have escaped In an automobile at 2 a. m. He said Pullen was sent to the -Jeffersonville reformatory In 1918, and that he was later paroled to Chicago. Pullen had not lived at Kokomo since leaving the reformatory. He had been arrested a number of times, the Kokomo police say. Pullen is 26 years old. INDIANAPOLIS MAN CHOSEN. Lowell Wilson of Indianapolis was elected president of the Indiana Manufacturers of Dairy Products Association at the Claypool Hotel yesterday. Other officers elected were: A. P. Holly, Indianapolis, secretary; Monroe Schlosser. Frankfort, treasurer; Glen Ogle, Evansville, chairman of the butter division, and W. H. Johnson, Bloomington, secretary of the division. An address on business was made by Prof. J. A. Estery, head of the economic department of Purdue University.

They will be shown at the Broadway until Sunday evening, including a Sunday matinee. The band gives a concert in front of the theater preceding each showing. Under the leadership of Bandmaster Hillard Frances, the band has become one of the best In the city. Most of the musicians have seen from one to three years overseas’ service, while 60 per cent bear ciatlons. The band has volunteered its services without charge for all partrlotlc and civic events requiring music in Indianapolis, and' has made several trips to other parts of the State. Financial support for this work has been forthcoming from members only. SHORTAGE OF RICE. CAIRO, Dec. 10.—The Egyptian rice crop was greatly damaged this year as a result of low water in the Nile.
