FIND FINANCES OF RAVENSWOOD OUT OF BALANCE Report of State Accounts Board Shows Bad Management. The little town of Ravenswood, situated on the banks of White River, north of the city, and noted chiefly for its display of bathing suits, came into the limelight again today when the State board of accounts reported that its financial affairs have been badly mismanaged and that there is not the amount of money on deposit in favor of the town that should be. The examination of the financial affairs of the corporation, which has a large population in the summer, but the permanent population of which is given by the United States Census Bureau as five, was made by J. H. O'Neall, an examiner of the board of accounts. He found that A. P. Robertson, clerk and treasurer of the town, owed the corporation the sum of $1,695.06. It was stated at the board of accounts office, however,-that unof- , fielal word had been received that Mr. Robertson had, since the report was made, deposited a part of this sum to the credit of the town. REPORT OF STATE EXAMINER. The examiner found that the prescribed books are not being used, that the records are not in balance, that the records are not properly kept, and that neither officers’ bonds nor depository bonds are on file. The principal income of the town, according to the report, is derived from the automobile parking privileges. The examiner says no accurate record of this income Is kept. The total receipts of the town for the period from Aug. 4, 1919 to July 31, 1921 were $.1,638.64 and the disbursements were $3,643.55, leaving a balance of $1,995.06, of which $.300 wa# deposited Aug. 17, according to the report. The remainder due, according to the report, is $1,695.06, unless there has been an additional deposit since the date of the report. The receipts of the town are listed as follows: Contributions, $501; concessions, $749.59; automobile parking, $3,207.75; borrowed money, S2OB, and bond sales, S9OO. The disbursements are listed as follows: Pay of marshall. $1,725.74; special police, SSS4.OS; park upkeep, $955; clerk’s supplies, $3.69; printing, $49.50; payment of borrowed money, $25. COMMENTS ON SITUATION. The examiner makes the following comments on the situation: “Record and data from which to make an accurate examination of the affairs of Ravenswood corporation Is so meager as to make it almost impossible to determine with any degree of accuracy the amount of money collected and disbursed Few Invoices for purchases are' on file. More briefly stated, neglect of the town’s business Is everywhere apparent. “Verification of money received for parking space wag made from available coupons, but It Is exceedingly questionable if all moneys thus disclosed In the financial statement represent anything like the amount collected from this source. “No money was at any time deposited ' to the credit of the corporation until Aug. j 17, 192 L during the progress of this ex- j

INGROWN TOE NAIL TURNS OUT ITSELF
A noted authority says that a few drops of “Outgro” upon the skin surrounding the ingrowing nail reduces Inflammation and pain and so toughens the tender, sensitive skin underneath the toe nail, that it can not penetrate the flesh, and the nail turns naturally outward almost over night. “Outgro” Is a harmless, antiseptic manufactured for chiropodists. However, anyone can buy from the drug store a tiny bottle containing directions.—Advertisement.
