RITES TO BE HELD AT BOYHOOD HOME Capt. Nysewander Killed Leading Company in France. The body of Capt. V. H. Nysewander. who was killed !n France Nov. 4. 1918. “will he burled with military ceremony at Plainfield, his boyhood home, Thursday. Captain Nysewander, who before his enlistment was connected with the Bobba-Merrill Company of Indianapolis, was commissioned a first lieutenant of Infantry following the second officers' training camp at Ft. Benjamin Harrison. He was sent to Texas and later assigned to the SSOrb Infantry, going to France July 1, 1618. He was gassed In the St. Mihiel offensive and upon his recovery was commissioned a captain. He was killed while leading his company over the top. Captain Nysewander was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. t.
