FARMERS WILL TALK FINANCE New Indiana Corporation Pro* posed to Get Around Securities Commission Ruling. Incorporation of an Indiana Farmer*' Finance Corporation, to provide fund* for cooperative marketing of grain and to provide credit for farm operations on personal security, chattel mortgages and warehouse receipts, will be discussed at n joint meeting of the directors of the Indiana Federation of Farmers’ Associations. the Indiana State Grange and the Indiana Farmers’ Grain Dealers’ Association. to be held Tuesday at the Hotel English. This anouncement was made by John G. Brown, president of the Indiana Federation, following refusal of the Indiana securities comission to grant permission for the Farmers' Finance Corporation to sell stock in Indiana. The fifteen men who are to solicit memberships in the United Grain Growers, Inc., in Indiana, will meet next Monday to perfect the selling organization. No further attempt will be made to gain permission to sell stock In Indiana, Mr. Brown said. The delay naturally resulting from an appeal to the court* would defeat the purpose of the organization, he said. Mr. Brown said he would suggest to the representatives to meet here Tuesday that an Indiana rarmers' finance corporation be organized with a capital stock of $2,000,000 to finance the activities of the United Grain Growers, Inc., in Indian*. In addition to financing this organization the corporation also would provide credit for farm operations on personal security and chattel mortgages and warehouse receipts.
