Harland of Llzton, Ind., was In Indianapolis today to search for his son, Ray Harland, 22, ■who disappeared from home May 20, when he drove away from Liston in an automobile. Neighbors saw him drive out of the garage at the Harland farm. No trace of the young man or of the automobile has been found. Mr. Harland said the young man dlu not dress as if he planned to leave home, for he wore his overalls and was dressed for work. The automobile was a 1920 model touring car of a popular make Mr. Harland has requested that any information as to his son’s whereabouts be telephoned to IV. E. Ward. 750 North Belle Vleu place, Belmont 3738. Ray Harland Is five feet seven inches In height and weighs 140 pounds. He Is of light complexion and wore his hair closely cut.

PETTY CRIMES ARE UNCHECKED Pickpocket Operates on North Illinois Car. Leroy C. Brennig, 1818 North Talbott avenue, told the police today that he waa robbed by a pickpocket while on a North Illinois street car last night. His billfold contained S3B. Miss Mary Callaway, Hotel Barton, was robbed of a purse while in a West Washington street department store yesterday afternoon. Miss Callaway is employed by the United States Labor Bureau, and said her purse contained her credentials, badge, mileage an<f*some money. Joseph Taylor, 547 West TwentySeventh street, was busy working in his garden last night. When he returned to the house he found that a burglar had bean there. The thief who entered by way of the front door obtained $6.75. A sneak thief took two waists valued at S3O, and boys’ clothing worth sl2, from the home of Mrs. H. S. Leonard, 1816 Ashland avenue. Miss Charlotte Llets, Apartment 2 the Worthlngt-on Flats, 602 North Alabama street, reported a thief took a purse from her home last night. It contained $9. Burglars broke Into the Superior Garage at Acton. Ind., the police were told last night. Four automobile tires were stolen.
