WINSLOW SCHOOL ADOPTS ‘SHUSHAN’ Baptist Class Contributes to Near East Relief. "For ths little girl Shushan,” wrote the secretary of the general Baptist Sunday school at Winslow, Ind., in a letter enclosing a check for S2O received at headquarters of Near East Relief ahd China famine fund, 403 City Trust building. The Winslow Sunday school decided to support an Armenian orphan and some time ago having seen a picture of a winsome Armenian child called “Shushan’’ asked State headquarters for the privilege of “adopting” her at an expense of S6O a year. “Shushan” Is one of the 7,000 waifs assigned to Indiana for support. With the approach of the coming winter “Shushan” and thousands of other little girls and boys will need some warm garments. A nation wide appeal is to be made about July I for used clothing for Armenian orphans and thousands of refugees. America last year sent 720 tons of used clothing to the Near East. A telegram received at State headquarters from Frederick B. Shipp, nattonal director of the China famine fund, states that aid for China will have to continue until August because of failure of early summer crops. Among the contrubutlons received by Thomas C.
