‘Y’ WILL TEACH BOYS SWIMMING Local Association Announces Free Lessons for Lads, 11 to 18. Circular letters relative to the free Swimming lessons that will be given to boys between 11 and 18 years of age next ■week by the Young Men's Christian Association are being sent to adult workers with boys. The letter sets forth that “the life of one or more of your boys of above age may depend upon your giving again this year the cooperation we have gladly received from adult workers with boys each springtime regularly for the last eight years. We desire to teach 500 boys to swim before outdoor swimming, with It wsual toll of lives, makes its powerful appeal to Indianapolis boys generally.” It is explained that soap, towels, etc., are all provided by the Y. M. C. A. and that there is no charge for the instruction given nor for supplies. It is an annual gift by the association to Indianapolis boys regardles of membership. “Among the boys in your charge,” says th£ letter, “there are doubtless a number between the ages of 11 and 13 who cannot swim.
