Those who were leading In the State bowling tournament before last night's attack was launched are still holding their hands out for the dough. There were quite a few good scores posted last night, but they were not good enough to put the skids under any of the leading lights. Woodward, one of the Beam shooters, ■was high in toe singles with a total of 616. This gets him quite a prominent position Immediately In back of the "big ten.” Myers and Phillips, more shooters out of the Beam establishment, tied for second high singles nonors with scores of 59T. Lvtle started and finished with double hundred scores. Ha weakened In the second round, however, and ruined his chances to cop. McNeese got a 213 In the second game. Outside of this there was nothing going on In his direction. McMahon was away to a peach of a start. His finish was something less than 100 pins tiehind the get-away. Wuest led a quintette of Terre Haute shooters firing in the singles last night. He had a SSS score. Woodard, the gent who led the way In the singles, knocked 237 maples kicking In his first same. Sargent and Doyle landed pretty well along In the financial section of the doubles with a pile of 1,129 pins. Tne high score In this event, however, was registered bv the Baher-Jensen combination of the‘Centra! Alley Five of Terre Haute. This pair stacked up 1,138 pins. Randal and Wuest, another Terre Haute i combination, knocked off I.IOS sticks.
