FRIENDS TO OPEN MEETING MAY 8 Important Questions Before Quaker Five-Year Board Special to The Times. RICHMOND, Ind., April 25—Tha annual sessions of the Friends Five Years’ Boards will be hold In the South Eighth Street Friends Church here during the week beginning May 8, according to an announcement made today. Three sessions daily of each committee or hoard are planned. Important decisions affecting the entire Five Years' meeting, which is made up of thirteen yearly meetings, are often reached at these sessions. A tentative schedule of the meetings for the week has been announced as follows: Monday—lndian affairs committee and the opening session of the executive committee American Friends’ Board of Foreign Missions. Tuesday—lndian affairs committee, the entire personnel of the foreign mission board, first meeting of the home mission board. Wednesday—Sessions of foreign and home mission hoards continued. Thursday—Home mission board concludes sessions, first meeting of the executive committee of the Five Years meeting. Friday—Sessions of Five Years meeting executive committee continued. Should it he necessary this committee will continue its meeting through Saturday. Anton ‘Don Splk Ver’ Plain English* Anton Medeivic's feet were itchy when Patrolman P. F. Tepoff said “good morning.” In fact, Anton was so nervous that after answering good morning he started to run. Then the law reached out and seized Anton, who tried vainly to push the patrolman away. When Anton was searched the policeman found two half pints and one pint of “white mule” whisky in his pocket. In court today, where he was tried on the charge of operating a blind tiger, Anton was unable to talk English and used an interpreter until his lawyer asked “How long have you been in the United States?" Then he spoke In excellent English and said six years and four months. Judge Walter Pritchard dismissed the charge. Typewriter Repairer Proves Office Thief Miss Marie Miller, 1828 Rnckle street, was robbed of sl3 today. She is employed in an office in the Odd Fellows building. A man appeared at the office and said he had been sent from a typewriter company to repair a typewriter. Miss Miller went in an adjoining office and while she was gone her purse and the stranger disappeared. When the police arrived they learned that the man diil not work fur the typewriter company. Shelbyville Youth Must Answer Charge to The Time*. SHELBYVILLE, Ind.. April 25.—An, affidavit, charging involuntary manslaughter. will be filed here against Ray Koch. 10. as a result of the death of William Rogers. 32. which occurred at an Indianapolis hospital, where Rogers was taken a week ago after being shot by the Koch boy. Rogers was wounded by the Koch boy while the two are said to have been amusing themselves at the second hand store owned by Koch’s father, David Koch. The funeral of Rogers was held today from the home of his mother, Mrs. Martha Rogers. Billy Sunday to Speak at Tabernacle May 2 Billy Sunday, famous evangelist, who is closing a series of revival meetings at Cincinnati, will give two adresses at the Gipsy Smith tabernacle here on Monday, May 2. This announcement was made by E. Howard Cadle of this city who was instrumental in bringing Gipsy Smith to Indianapolis. Tlie Rev. Mr Sunday will speak at 2:30 o’clock next Monday afternoon and at 7:30 o’clock in the evening. The committee which was in charge of the Smith meetings will have charge of the Sunday meetings. It is said that an effort is being made to bring Sunday here for a series of revival meetings. When he entered the hallway some man hit him a stunning b'ow on the head. He told tiie police that the man had been calling on his wife.
