Corrigan, dear general of the archdiocese of Baltimore, has been selected as administrator of diocesan affairs pending the appointment of a successor to the late Cardinal Gibbons, it was learned today. Speculation continued ns to the selection of a successor to Cardinal Gibbons. The names of bishops as probable successor which have been under discussion are O’Connell, Richmond, Va. ; Russell. Charleston, S. C.; Monaghan, Wilmington. Del.; Curley, St. Augrustine, Fla.; Hald, North Carolina, and Shahan. the latter being rector of the Catholic University at Washington.

Report Unusual Case of Sleeping Sickness BOSTON, March 26.—One of the moat extraordinary cases of sleeping sickness to come to the attention of the State department of health is that of Arthur A. Clark, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Clark, of Wakefield. For several weeks the boy has been suffering from the strange malady. The first three days of his sicknesg ‘ he had a mania for clipping pictures out of newspapers and magazines. He kept ! that up for seventy-two hours and then succumbed to sleep. The youngster manages to keep his eyes )>eu and knows in a vague way what he is doing for about a half hour in the morning and the same length of time in the afternoon. At these times he is fed light food. Then he goes buck to sleep. ‘Bad Men’Styles Change Noted MUSKOGEE. Okla., March 26.—“ Bad men" are still shooting up towns in Oklahoma. But styles have changed. Frank Swift, a modern “Oklahoma bad man,” is under a three-month sentouce in the State Penitentiary for shooting up Broadway, the main street in M.isi g.e. Swift rode down the thoroughfare at breakneck speed, firing dozens of shot*. Although, a score of buildings were struck by the spraying bullets, ro person was shot.
