The Fisher Automobile Company, distributor* of the Reo in Indiana, Rare a banquet and vaudeville show for their dealers and friends in the Rainbow room of the Hotel Severin last night. The hit of the evening was the Speed Wagon Quartet, composed of local salesmen of the Fisher company. An educational moving pictnre entitled “Reo Reasons” was shown. The picture showed the special machinery used in the building of every part that goes into a Reo and was presented in comparison with a cartoon depicting-the utter disregard for accuracy with the usual assembled car. A representative from the Reo factory was present and explained points of Interest during the action of the picture. H. H. Bateheller and E. E. Brodbeck of the Fisher company were in charge of the entertainment. Legion Ready for 4th District Drive Plans for the service and membership campaign to be conducted by the American Legion in the Fourth District under the direction of the Indiana department of the legion have been completed, it was announced yesterday bv L. Russell Newgent, State adjutant. The work of organizing the posts has been started and a district meeting will be held at North Vernon Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Col. L. R. Glgnllllat, State commander; Mr. N'ewgent and Philip B. Stapp of Greensburg, Fourth District member of the State executive committee, will take an active part In the movement. Campaign headquarters have been established at Greensburg and the campaign will be manager by Earle V. Hitch oT Indianapolis. Scored for Hiring Kin Severe censuring of Lloyd Robinson, a township trustee In Fulton County, for hiring relatives as teachers In h.'s schools and restoration of her license, which had been revoked by Thomas F. Berry, county superintendent, was the action taken by L. N. Hines, State superintendent of public instruction, after he had heard the case of Miss Doris Lewellen, a public school teacher of De Long, who appealed to the State official. Hearing of the case occupied two days. Mr. Hines called attention to the fact that most of those persons who appeared against Miss Lewellen were either relatives of the township trustee or those dependent upon him for their positions. Mr. Hines' decision stated that there was no evidence of any incompetency or any unbecoming conduct on the part of Miss Lewellen. CHICAGOAN TO SPEAK. L. T. Tolerton, Chicago, will be the chief speaker at the meeting of Indiana Subordinate No. 1, National Association Practical Refr-geratlng Engineers, to be held Friday night at 8 o'clock, at the Hotel Severint.
