We Will Help You to Save Safely &sbtngg anb Crusrt (Ea tauwoui TO TELL STORY OF ARMENIA Mrs. Kerop Ashjian Will Give Entertainment at Horae. No one knows the story of Armenia’s tragedy. Its bloodshed and massacres and its starving children better than Mrs. Kerop Ashjian, 4234 Cornelius avenue. To emphasize the Importance of the Near East Relief appeal to save Armenia's child life, Mrs. Ashjian has invited a number of the city's prominent people, inciudir g principals of public schools, for an “Armenian social hour” at her home from 2 to 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Ashjian will teil the story of her own girlhood in Armenia and her escape from the Armenian College at Harpoot during a Turkish massacre. Mrs. Ashjian probably will wear an Armenian costume and serve an Armenian dish. Raymond Ball, tenor of Roberts Park M. E. Church, will sing, and the Rev. George M. Smith, pastor of the church, will preside. Two Armenian brides, who escaped from Turkey and recently came to Indianapolis, will be present. Near East Relief headquarters, 403 City Trust Building, continues to receive a stream of contributions from Sunday schools and churches. There also is a demand for speakers who know the Near East situation. W. S. Zarick, a Syrian, has volunteered his services as a speaker because his people, he says, are suffering with the Armenians. Miss Margaret Jones Opens Tots’ School Miss Margaret Jones, who for several years has been branch librarian of the Illinois branch of the Indianapolis Public Library has resigned and has opened a private school at the Propylaeum for children of the grades and of kindergarten age. Church to Clear Lot Adjoining Building The Central Avenne M. E. Church, which recently purchased a lot adjoining the church as a site for an enlarged Sunday school and recreational facilities, if plans work ont satisfactorily, is preparing to have the old frame dwelling on the lot removed within a short time. The lot is 47 by 200 feet. Exchange Club Will Hear W. C. Pearce W. C. Pearce, general secretary of the International Sunday School Association, will be tbs speaker at the Exchange Club’s weekly luncheon tomorrow at the Hotel Lincoln. Table talks will be dispensed with at the meeting in order to give Mr. Pearce every possible minute for his address.
