REPORT OF TRUST COMPANIES MADE Indiana Institutions Stand Eleventh in Nation.
The combined assets of Indiana trust companies stand eleventh among the States of the Union, according to staPstles compiled by the United States Mortgage and Trust Company of Sew York for publication In "Trust Companies of the United States.” copies of which have just been received by local bankers. The figures show that Indiana had 156 trust companies reporting as of June 30, 1920, with combined assets of $205,€92.628 41. New York was first among the States, with combined assets of $3,602 962,249 10, and Pennsylvania was second with $1,589,686,574.86. New York had but ninety-nine trust companies reporting, while Pennsylvania had 324 companies reporting, the largest number of any State. Deposits in the ten ndianapolis trust companies are shown as follows: Aetna Trust and Savings, $2,104,442.01; Bankers Trust. $1,237,232.49; City Trust. $701,974.16; Farmers' Trust ,$1.741,726.55; Fidelity Trust, 51,894,831.78; Fletcher Savings' and Trust, $14,104,840.82; Indiana Trust, $9,022,403 52; Security Trust, $2.263,551 74; State Savings and Trust, $2,580.683.04; Union Trust, $6,056,736.28. and Washington Bank and Trust, $1,453.048.43. The total assets of the trust comtfianies of the Nation, reporting to the New York compiler, were given as $12,451.S 77,583.58, a substantial gain over 19i9y when the total was $11,150,440,087.53.
THREE MEN FACE ARSON CHARGES
Bedford Trio Held for Burning Freetown Store.
Special to The Times. BEDFORD, ;nd., Dec. 23.—William Reedy, Dan Cline and Dewey Beevers are under arrest here on a charge of setting fire to the John D. Sprague genoral store at Freetown after burglarizing the place Monday night, and were taken to Brownstown, where they will be given a preliminary hearing on the charge of arson today. Damage from the fire is said to be approximately more than $30.000. Howard Greer of Bedford, who was also placed under arrest, is reported to have told the authorities that the three men charged with arson borrowed his motor truck Monday night, saying they wanted to go to the country. When the truck was found in a wrecked condition three miles east of Freetown with several pair of shoes near, the men were arrested. Later. 1.80 pairs of shoes were found hidden under a bridge. Greer denies that he had any part In the robbery and says he loaned his truck do the men in good faith.

Oil Land Litigation Ties Up Funds in Bank.
CHICAGO, Dec. 23.—Miss Florence Robinson of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kansas City, knows today how It feels to be a “poor little rich girl.” Miss Robinson has $22,000 on deposit in a Chicago bank, but she is stopped by the law from withdrawing a single cent of It. Two years ago Miss Robinson was a model in a Kansas City department store when she quit her job and went to Texas to make her fortune by dealing in oil land leases. It Is alleged that she had dealings with Charles W. Watson. an operator In the Texas oil fields. Watson, It Is alleged, sold a lease to a group of Chicagoans and later It was found that his title to the property was unclear. The Chlcngoans brought suit to recover the money paid to Whtson and they charge that a part of the $22,000
