The Old Sofa Could Tell Many Tales BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 17.—The following articles were found between the back and the cushion of an old sofa on its arrival at a local furniture store to be repaired: Thirty-five hairpins, sixteen suspender bnttons, twelve poker chips, four pennies, thirty-six wads of chewing gum, two mustache combs, eight matches, four cigarettes, five cuff buttons, and last but not least, a small package of “nerve" powders.
