BANKING HOME PLANS OUTLINED Trust Company to Begin Remodeling After Jan. 1. Work of remodeling rooms at 138-140 North Per nsylvania street to provide a modern banking house probably will be started shortly after Jan. 1, according to officials of the Bankers' Trust Company, who have received bids for the reconstruction. It Is understood the Starr Plano Company, present tenants, will move to other quarters about that time. Plana are being made to convert the rooms Into one of the finest and most up-to-date banking houses of the city, according to Howard C. Binkley, president of the trust company. The main banking room will have a frontage on Pennsylvania street of thirty feet and trill extend to a depth of 135 feet The front of the building will be rebuilt with terracotta, while the walls will have a wainscoting of white marble pauele and columns. In the rear of the room will be built two large vaults, the larger of which will be used exclusively for safety deposit purposes. The present hydraulic power lifts will be replaced by two electric elevators. 1 hrongb rearrangement of the lobby of the bank building an entrance from Ohio Street will be provtded. The cost of remodeling will amount to approximately |loo,ooty and the work Will be completed next May, it is expected.
