STATE BUILDING SHOWS BIG GAIN 23 New Loan Companies Formed in Year. The report of the State building and loan department for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 was made public today. Twenty-tkree new association were formed In the State during the year; forty-throe associations increased their capital stock, while the total assets of the associations is listed at $14,000,000, a' noticeable Increase over that of last year. Progress is shown In the building of 2.214 homes, the Improvement of 3>7W homes and the buying of 9,040 homes. The twenty-three associations Incorporated during the year are capitalized at a total of $8,950,000; forty-three associations Increasing their stock amount to a total of $32,400,000. The work of the building and loan association is to provide homes through loops by associations, which In return arranges for small payments hi weekly amounts from the person receiving the loan. *** .!
