Ohio Police Make Good Play Censors CLEVELAND, Sept. 17. —You gotta hand it to the cops! Some member found out that a play, ‘ Come Up in the Haymow," liau some lines that were somewhat broad. Police headed an official party on a tour of inspection. “The lines must be changed." said the inspector, sadly shaking his head. The scrip was brought to him. “Now take this," he said, pointing an accusing finger ta where Enid Markley says: “I’m going to be compromised.” "That won’t do at all.” “All right, chief," was the worried response. “What shall we do?” Thereupon Graul took a stubby pencil from his vest pocket and rewrote the offending lines. Instead of the words deleted he made the actress say: “Cm going to be talked about.” Now members of the police force may visit the show without having their sense of decency shocked. “Mild as n ilk and Just as sweet," say they.

A little incident that happened the other day in the Downstairs Store may help to give you a better idea of just how little one may buy really fine tailored suits for. A woman and her daughter had just selected two suits, one very stylish tricotine and the other a smartly tailored suit of serge. The woman said : “// does not seem posstble , yet it is a fact , that / have bought these suits—one for my daughter and one for myself — for about the same price that I had expected to pay for my own suit alone. —lt ia somewhat surprising to be able to find such splendid suits as these at the prices named, beautifully tailored suits of trlcotine, novelty herringbone and men s wear serge, silk lined, of course. —Comparisons will prove that the styles and workmanship are equal to that found In suits costing considerably more. —To make choosing more convenient and more of a pleasure we have arranged these suite in four special groups for Saturday's selling The prices tell their own story. Choose yours early.
