Firs life term murderer* ere among . .the nineteen applicants who will appear before the state beard of pardons at its session, Sept. 20, asking for pardons. Those serving life sentences for murder are: Pellegrino Turcbi, Clinton county, sentenced November, 1910. Isaac Show, Lawrence county, sentenced Sept. 20, 1898. Garfield Boball, Jackson county, sentenced Dec. 7, 1910. Charles Mitchell, sentenced fiom Lawrence; county, Feb. 2, 1912. The last three of these have had pardons refused at previous sessions of the board. Rufus Warren, who was sentenced April 4, 1911, from Madison county, for mnrdcr, and who is now on parole, is asking a pardon. Other applications that will be acted on at this session are: Herman Gloyd, Jennings county, Oct. 15. 1919, five to fourteen years, robbery ; Indiana reformatory. Kenneth Syes, Jennings county, Oct. 15, 1919, five to fourteen years, robbery; reformatory. ' Wayne Cornelius, Greene county, Jan. 27. 1919, two ,to fourteen years, burglary; Indiana reformatory. Ind., Sept. 3—After seriously wounding his wife by slashing her with'a knife, Frank Warner of Wolcott. ended his own life by cutting his throat at Peoria, 111., yesterday. Warner went to Peoria after he was from the Indiana colony for the criminal insane, at Michigan City, March 12. Warner was to Michigan City after he se' fire to bis barn at Wolcott, Nov. 24. 191S. and after concealing himself in his home opened fire on the volunteer fire company of the town. He wounded ten of the men, and several shots were fired at him before he was arrested. Charges of arson and assault and battery with intent to kill were made against him. but were later modified and his ■ ommitmerit for criminal Insanity was ordered by the Delphi circuit court. The body will be brought to Wolcott for burial.
