Announcement has been made of the purchase, by the One-PJsce Bifocal Lens [Company, of the Fisher building, 434 \North Capitol avenue, which is now occupied by the Fisher Automobile Company. ! The building, which is of terracotta i brick, is of four stories, and has a frontage of sixty-seven feet and six inches on Capitol avenue and a depth of 202% feet. The price was not announced, but it is understood to have been in the neighborhood of 5200,000. Rasdall, 27, of 45 South West street, lost control of an automobile yesterday at Meridian and Twenty-eighth streets and the car struck an automobile driven by B. F. Cline, 2001 Broadway, then swerved and crashed into the side of an automobile driven by Mrs. i H. W. Curry. Witnesses said Rasdall was racing : with an automobile truck, j The truck driver did not stop after the | accident, but Rasdall, who was thrown 1 out of the automobile, was nrrested. LIMIT COST OF . REGISTRATION Letters Mailed to All County Auditors. County commlsslonexs must limit expenditures for registration to the amounts prescribed by the special session of the legislatsire, according to a statement of Josae E. Eschbach, chief examiner of the state board of accounts. Letters to this effect have been mailed to all county auditors of the state. The law allows county commissioners to make appropriations for registration expenses, not exceeding a maximum established according to population. The provisions are as follows: Counties with iess than 10,000 population, $500: counties with more N than 10.000 ahd less than 20,000 population, $750; counties with more than 20,000 and less than 30,000 population, $1,250; counties with more than 30,000 and less than 60,000 population, $1,500. For counties with 60,000 or more population the state board of accounts will approve an expenditure of not/ more than 3 cents for each name registered. Sir. Eschbach also has sent letters to county treasurers and prosecuting attorneys, stating that all persons named by law must be licensed to exhibit carnivals and other shows.
